hello from a new member

    I registered yesterday after deciding I wanted to go for a CCNA and googling around for some forums and this one seemed like a really good supportive site with an active group of members.

    I decided that I needed to set myself a 'challenge' having done nothing significant apart from a data centre technicians course (course provider said it would lead to a BTEC or something but not really holding out for it tbh) since I left university. I've been trying to get my company to pay for me to start a CCNA but have had nothing forthcoming so am just getting starting into looking into how to get myself through it.

    I work at a medium to large data centre but it's more frustrating than it sounds as it's mostly look and can't touch due to the kit being used. Hopefully i'll be able to spot a few items that I can use to learn with. So basically my knowledge at the moment is the degree obviously but a lot of hands on stuff also.

    I've just ordered the CCNA Official Exam Certification Library (CCNA Exam 640-802) (Exam Certification Guide Series) ISBN-10: 1587201836 and am quite excited to get stuck in with it all really.
