Just spoke to a Computeach guy tonight about doin a computing course, MCSE, A+ etc. All sounded fine and dandy and something which would interest me. Then we got to the crunch...£5200 for the course, I nearly choked on my tongue. Within 15 seconds he was offering me finance at (an unconfirmed) 15.5% APR. Needless to say I ran straight to my PC, nd searched for complaints. Thank goodness I found this site! I will be researching the true best way forwards here now.... I just wish I'd not wasted a teabag on the guy!

Hi everyone, anbd thanks for the advice.

Welcome to CF, glad you found us
whilst i dont comment much on providors I have never used, im glad you had the chance to get a second (and third and fourth) opinion, I personally feel that price is steep anyway, I wouldnt pay more than 2.5 for an MCSE, and A+ shouldnt cost more than few hundred at best

Good luck in your search, if you have will power the possibilities are endless, if not, money limits your choice somewhat :D

ooh ooh and me too, and me too.

Always worth it to have a good laugh.:D

Jeez, you guys get all the breaks, and cheap ones too. The courses here start at around 10,000 CHF (atm around £4500) and go upwards from there.:dry

    Welcome Monkey.

Your post sounds like me about 4-5 weeks back. Only I wasted 2 tea bags on the bugger.

The guy even admitted to me that the only IT experience he had was from running an IT recruitment agency, and he was selling me the same course.

Never mind I'm going solo for the A+, and am fortunate that my mum works at the local 6th form college in the IT department, so she's trying to get me a foot in the door helping the technicians there. Just so I can get some practical knowledge.
