So found out last thursday I'll be presenting at our upcoming Microsoft Lunch & Learn type sessions, at EVERY office, so i'm off to Alaksa this afternoon for the first time (leaving me just 1 state to visit to hit all 50!)

    I'll be presenting Hyper-V 2.0, Win2k8R2, XenDesktop, Windows 7 and SCVMM/SC Suite

Boise and Spokane two weeks later, then Portland and Seattle a week after that

So the final part of my presentation tour is coming to an end

Last Sunday I left Boise at about 4pm and drove the 7 hours to Portland
spent monday in Portland in meetings, presented on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning drove up to our corporate HQ in Lacey, Washington. Today I drove up to Bellevue Washington to deliver the final presentation and will then be driving BACK to Portland so I can attend some training tomorrow afternoon on VMware ThinApp
then I finally get to drive back to Boise tomorrow night, so I should be home by Saturday! :D

The events have gone very well, apparently as the speaker I was not eligable to win any of the 360 elites! oh well :)

The format changed a little from the Alaska event

it was Windows 7 / MDOP, new tech, business benefits etc
System Center (SCCM, SCOM, SCDPM, SCMM, SCSM, Opalis)
    Exchange 2010

so a slight deviation, we cover some of the 2008 R2 talk in the Win7 talk

and today i can throw in all the new announcements MS made this morning around their VDI offering (license and EULA changes abound!) phew
    i need a vacation now :P

Total driven distance for this final part of the trip will be about 1400 miles
not bad considering this time two years ago I didn't have a license :)

Well done Phoenix. Sounds like a great road trip!

I went to an interesting demo in one of our buildings yesterday showing our workstream to deploy OS's and apps. We are also getting into intel's vPro technology to remotely power on PC's, remotely control the bios, wipe lost laptops, PDA's etc. and are also looking into the next gen of Intels chipsets that can brick stolen kit and lead authorities to its location via GPS.

Anyway I'm rambling, your trip sounds great. I don't suppose there are any video's on the web of your work mate?

I once drove from London to Glasgow, to Newcastle, to Leeds, to Manchester, to Liverpool, to Birmingham, to Cardiff, to Bristol and back to London in the space of 28 hours delivering and installing two servers at each site. No sleep.

    THAT was a road trip.

Dude that would be an arse of a road trip,
atleast its pretty pretty drivin' :)

Drove past Mt St Helens twice, Mt Rainer, Mt Hood, just the right time of year that its 50+ degrees on the roads but everything around is covered in snow :)
