    Taken from the film Hackers.

I am trying to find a film where Tim Robbins plays a Software Developer (Looks a lot like Bill gates) I thought it was Hackers but it's not. Does anybody know the title of the film?

What's your favourite Film with computers in it?

    Mines Hackers (excellent soundtrack)

I got the remastered DVD, total class. The amazing thing is they did all those special effects without a single computer.

My favourites would have to be War Games and The Net. Although it's almost painful watching The Net now I loved it at the time.

I can't think of any film where what they do with computers is anywhere near accurate and The Net is a fine example. Swordfish is another one, when Hugh Jackman is programming that worm, it looks like he's playing a puzzle game.

What he should have done was hold the gun to the womans head, now that would have been excruciating :)

If you've got a Morrisons anywhere near you, have a look in there. Saw it on sale for about £3 on DVD last week.

2nd page of this thread, and no one has mentioned 2001: A Space Odyssey ?? :blink

Lest we forget HAL, the sinister AI-based supercomputer that almost outwitted those it was designed to serve. And you have to love the little touch that had a poke at the IT world of the time - add one letter to each letter in HAL's name ...8)
