got a job, not in IT, but office based (Stock Level Clerk) job for maternity cover for 9 months, going to do NVQ Business Administration Lvl 2 or 3 if they take me, with "train to gain" programme if they take me. Still learning towards what I've planned, hopefully after 9 months my cv will look better :-)

    Congrats.
Everyone says it's easier to get a job when you've got a job, and I think there's a lot of truth in that. At least the wolves will be kept from the door for 9 months.

ok, so I started the job this Monday, it is for 9 to 12 months only
Lots to learn, but I enjoy it. A lot of data entry in db soft, and working on telephone.
so far feel like brainwashed because I have to learn very fast, but ejnoy it.
so now I have to start the NVQ business admin. lvl 2 or 3 (depending on which training company will allow me to go) and finish 70-680 and 70-685 as I will be looking for a job in 9 months again)
    :-)

I was made redundant (with 3 more people) after 2 months of being there.
The reason was: bad financial situation in the company.
They took me from another company, and sucked after 2 months (why did they take me? they knew they have problems before), where I have a new born baby
I was trying hard, working hard, starting to work half an hour before time, didn't take my lunch break, eating with sandwich in one hand, keyboard in second one, I was working basically 1 hour per day for free, cause of the amount of work, and this is "thank you" I got. I feel like an idiot, a sucker, why trying? My cv looks like I was sacked during my trial period because I was useless.

In next job I'll be taking all my breaks, and won't start a minute before time
I got a hard lesson, that it doesn't pay off to try hard untill you work on your own

Put a little about what you did in the job and that you were made redundant.

Hello Mariusz, piece of advice if I may...

Nowadays employers are not looking for so called "time watchers" = people working 9-5... My employer is one of them. They do not expect me to work 24/7 however working within or around IT is full time commitment. I think you need to hide your pride and be very flexible. If you really want to work 9-5 there may be slight chance you want get the job at all... IT industry is demanding place. Working there is difficult and full of stress. You need to simply deal with it or find your self another job...

I'm sure you'll find your self right place soon.

    Powodzenia.
