I am currently studying for the Google Cloud Digital Leader certification which is one of the Foundation level exams. The course is free online and can be accessed here which is pretty awesome from Google I think. I'll do that course but I am also doing the ACloudGuru course as we have access to those in work, also very good

I'll probably look to sit the exam next week as the material has been quite straight forward, light and high level. The cert sounds great though! We're encouraged to get Hyperscaler exams here at VMware which is really good I think

Have you sat this one or one of the more advanced certs? What do you think?

Just passed this. Unfortunately it didn't give me a score but I was surprised that I passed despite working on it for a while. Work wanted us to get a Hyperscaler exam by the end of the year, talk about cutting it close! I exclusively used the ACloudGuru course but did need to watch it three times for it all to sink in as it's not my usual subjects. I can't say too much because of the NDA but I had AI/ML questions which I found hard, and others around hybrid cloud, capex to opex that anyone could guess. No labs or drag and drop just questions so no experience of hands on required I don't think. This one is more concepts and higher level thinking on what would be the best fit for a business

Ignore what they say, its a great cert to study for if like me, you want one of the hyperscaler certs under your belt. Are Google behind MS and AWS in the public cloud wars, yes, but will it always be that way, I doubt it. Main thing for me was that the content was enjoyable, are you enjoying it mate? Nice one Jaron, yeah for free I think the course is excellent. I think all vendors should do the courses for free

Nice simple breakdown (without breaking the NDA), never really considered Google in that way before (apart from the Google education platform). It may be something I look into in the future

 

It sure does, they should all offer these sorts of incentives. Certainly rewards with discount for gaining more certs, that's a great initiaive that one. These certs can make all of the difference when appllying for roles I find.

 

Congratulations mate that's great work. Oddly a load of us who have that cert got an email today to say its now recognised by Credly. I forget how I showed I'd passed it before, but so much better in Credly as you can see all vendors there. Well done that man
