Goals for 2018 - Midyear review

Hi All,

Can't believe that it's already June... Following on from previous years (and this thread), time for your appraisal... How are all of you getting on with your goals for this year?

For me:

1. Complete my MSc - I've had to defer my last 60 point module because of health... And with that realised that I didn't enjoy it. So I have taken my PGDip and have switched tracks to the MSc Open specialising in Education and Computing... However as I only do 1 module a year, this has push me back by 3 years (I couldn't transfer 60 points from my previous studies)...

2. Gain the FHEA - (Fellowship) award from the HEA/AdvanceHE. This enables me to be recognised/accredited as a Higher Education teacher/lecturer whose teaching practices are well-aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework. Achieved.

3. Gain the MCSA Office 365 - Currently working towards this...

EDIT: 4. Hopefully gain my 3rd Dan in Tang Soo Do...

Well done Ken you've done well there. Here's mine:

AWS SA - Watched a ton of videos. Paid for my exam and it got cancelled because the testing center closed down, so I've now got a voucher sat there doing nothing. I've not touched this since January.

VCP 6.5 - Passed with a few days to go before it expired. I felt more pressure this time because I now work for VMware so I was really glad to get this done. I'm very lucky as I get access to great training, so I think I might aim for a VCAP towards the end of the year.

 

Isn't 23 a bit young to retire?

 

Ha ha I have numerous scars myself. You deserve it. I love talk of retirement. We should have a retirement plans thread for sure as a welcome distraction from all of the learning and work
