I'm trying to decide what to tackle next... my shortlist is composed of two very difference certifications; oen if GIAC's GISP, and the other is the Open Groups Togaf.

My understanding is that the GISP is akin to CISSP, but more "real world". As I have CISSP, not sure how much this would "add" to my toolkit - but may look good on a cv. Togaf is an architecture framework, which could be a useful complement any security architecture work I do.

Ideas? I'll probably do both - but which should I do first?

Forgot to say, this is where I stand at the moment:
CISSP * CISM * ISO27001 Lead Implementer * CEH * Security+ * TigerScheme Associate * * ITIL v.3 Foundation * Tripwire Enterprise Certified Professional * Tripwire Enterprise Certified Operator * QualysGuard Certified Specialist – Vulnerability Management * QualysGuard Certified Specialist – Policy Compliance and Web Application Scanning * TrendMicro Deep Discovery * Member of the IET, BCS and Mensa * Apple Certified Technical Coordinator 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 (ACTC) * Apple Certified System Administrator 10.4 (ACSA) * Apple Network Account Management 10.4 * Apple Directory Services Integration and Administration 10.4 * Apple Certified Support Professional 10.5 (ACSP) * Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist 10.4 (ACHDS) * Apple Certified Support Specialist 10.6 (ACSS) * Symantec Technical Specialist (STS) * Authorized Symantec Consultant: Enterprise Security Specialization

I guess it really depends on where you want to go/do and where you are... You don't say what you do/where you are, so it's hard to do a "general recommendation" or our "2 cents".

Could be wrong but by the certs/quals you have, you're a Security specialist in an Apple environment?

    Forgot that part!

Close guess - Security Specialist is correct, but I work in an architecture and governance consulting role... the Apple certs are a throwback to the days I worked with Apple...

Where I want to go is the interesting part, I quite like my role... both certs complement it, which is why I want to do both... just not sure which first. Can the GISP be done purely on left over knowledge from CISSP from a few years ago? How long have people taken to do togaf?
