FTP recommendation

    Can anyone reccomend a simple ftp program that they use/find good that is also easy to use.

    Freeware but not with sypware/adware would be nice.

    FileZilla ofcourse
    its opensource, and hence free

    it might be filezilla.sourceforge.net

    but give it a google if its not#

    Hi All

    Well not really free as you have paid for your Windows Operating system!

    Get the command line up and type ftp and there you go! :rolleyes:

    I use WS_FTP Nugget. I don't know if that link gives you a full working version, but I know as Phoenix says, a quick Google will find it.

    FlashFXP is the one I use unfortunately its not free. You can get trial versions

    Another vote for SmartFTP from me. Used quite a few in my time and, as far as free ftp apps go, SmartFTP is my favourite.

    I use SmartFTP as well. It's free and is just as good as it's commercial counterparts...:D

    I'm sort of with Sandy - Internet Explorer. Drag and drop your files from Windows Explorer.

    I used to use CuteFTP Pro (not free, but i got a code for beta testing it)
    before that I used WS_FTP
    now I use FileZilla, as its Opensource :)

    Thanks for the advice.

    I've checked out filezilla and also smart ftp. The thing that struck me as funny is they look very similar.

    most FTP clients look pretty similar these days, CutefTP looks like filezilla too

    you know wht to do
    support your F/OSS and use FZ :)
