I don't see this very often but at the moment, VMware are offering this certification, so course AND exam, completely for free! I'm sure you'd agree, it would be rude not to take them up on this.

I passed this one a few months ago before it was released to the public. It covers multi hyperscaler clouds so Azure, AWS and Google mainly. Check it out, it's a really good one to have. You can read more here

Is this an entry level cert? If it is, I may give it a go (as I have very little experience with VMWare)

 

Sorry I could have sworn that I replied to this! Usually a VCP would be quiet hands on and technical, requiring you to work with the technology to have a chance of passing. Oddly this one is different, as it's more about awareness of how we partner with the hypersclalers, what we do to help you manage your environment in a multi cloud world. I can't say too much due to the NDA of the exam but lets just say, at no stage was I asked, where would I click, what code would I input, it was more high level. For that reason I'd say go for it definitely! The course should be all you need to pass, more VMware knowledge will help, but isn't a must have
