Something light for a Monday evening...

We all know each others forum names, and some even use their real names on the forum; what other nick names do you have/use frequently, and where did the forum name/nick name come from??

Ok first off i use Twizzle, Twizz or Squiretwizz on most forums, games and emails.

This came from a fitter i worked with years ago in Wales. As i came from the West Country, he gave me the name from a Tv puppet from the 50s that was from the same area as me. Its now my main nickname and has stuck with me for 10 years.

I have also been called Ferrite (while an apprentice, as i bit a steel barrell while playing baseball, and a few times i'd hit myself with a hammer during bench fitting the instructor thought ity would suit, go figure)

Monkey - As i'm hairy and again as an apprentice i used to make monkey noises and act the fool (liek a chimp)

There are others but i cant print them on here, and normally only get called them when someones upset, mad or just plain annoyed at me.

Sure we've done this before - or something very similar, but can't find it, so hey ho!

Zebulebu comes from the nickname my brother's best mate's kid brother gave me - this kid was unhinged, and had an insane language that he pretty much made up on his own - think Jason Mewes - and the name he gave me stuck. When I started going online a few years ago I found that I needed a unique name to use - and chose that. Totally unique name - but I have come across a couple of other people using it since - I guess they saw it on a forum or something that I registered on and figured they would nick it!

I've also been called 'Stumo' (because my real name is Stuart and I'm a fat git) and 'Fella' (because I went through a period of about 18 months calling everyone 'fella' instead of mate.

On games I normally use KitKatNinja. KitKat from the clan I use to belong to with my mates in one of our old oline games, ninja from my charater name, then it just stuck. Was going to ask the mods about changing it on here, but never got around to it :)

Noelg - Derived from being an Oasis fan in my younger days and meeting the LEGEND that is Noel Gallagher himself.

I have been using this nickname since I can remember and now when I turn a different year and I create a new username for something I add the number to the end of my nickname.

Like noelg24 on here clearly means I created the nickname back in 2004. So you get the idea :biggrin

Other nicknames I have been known by are Wally or Wal...and if anyone even thinks of calling me by any of those names other than Waliulai or Waliu they will be shot dead!

Also, on the Matrix Online game I am known as Darther, it was just something I picked out of the blue and it has stuck with me on that game every since. I quite like it and it fits the game very well. :biggrin

Modey is kind of an abreviation of DeadMode which is an online nick I have used for years. I used to be heavily into online gaming (Starting with Quakeworld, Q2DM, Q2CTF) and I always used DeadMode. I originally came up with it when I was studying really hard at university - that's code for spending most of my time and money at Laserquest - running round a big smoke shrouded maze shooting laser guns at people. Hey, it was close to the main campus building and they did a student discount, I often wondered why my grades were poor ... :) I guess the Dead bit was because of the shooting aspect and Mode came from my all time favorite band - Depeche Mode. My avatar is a DM single cover. Anyone still awake? :)

My family nick name on my mom side is missy, my dad put his own touch on it by turning it in to mitzs. My immediate family are the only ones who used it while I was growing up, and my brothers not that often because I would beat them up for it. :biggrin I use the name now in memory of my father. :)

Mine's pretty boring - my first name is Tim (short for Timothy of course) and my surname begins with a C - hence Tim of the C.

When playing online games, I used Commander Jamieson of Elite fame for a while, but now I just used different variations of Barliman Butterbur :biggrin

I think most people know mine already.

Arroryn is the lead character from the novel series I'm writing. Came up with the name after a mooch on one of those god-awful name generators, and a bit of tweaking. If I want an expendable forum name where I'm not going to hang around then I'll use one of my more 'disposable' characters. lol.

As for RL nicknames... I don't have one. Apart from my sister calling me Prawnie, but that's about 24 years old... and I'm 24... and someone else calling me Beavis, but that's a different story altogether...

It's been a long time since I shed the nicknames of 'fatty', 'spotty' and 'freak' hey, if someone comes up with something suitable (not you BM) then they may get immunity for a year :biggrin
