and.... compared to the current MCDST and 70-270 exam how does it compare?

 

Well, where there was just 70-270, now we've got 70-620 and 70-622. The old 70-620 objectives seem to be split between the new exams. Obviously, there are many new features/tools/apps in Vista, and the 70-620 exam covers them.

It's been so long since I've took the MCDST that I can't remember what was on it. If I remember correctly, it's pretty comparable in difficulty.

 

so in other words its one of the "easier" MS exams? Also mike were there any sims?

 

i just been looking at books... most are due between april-june!

if my maths is correct its going to be cheaper to bring the books from the US - MS Press for example is 40 quid and 38 plus delivery US$....

Well, easier depends on your experience level. Any of the Microsoft exams are easy if you truly understand the product or technology. If you learn about Vista, then it's easy... if you've never used it before, it can be difficult. I didn't find it to be difficult, but I wrote a book on it, so it shouldn't be difficult to me.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft confidentiality agreement probably prohibits me from stating whether simulations are present or not. All I can say is that you should be able to pass if you understand the concepts on Microsoft's 70-620 page.

Looks like the MS Press book will come with a Vista evaluation edition... looks like one big book!
