First IT interview

Hi all, i have my first ever interview for an IT job this Thursday. It is for a First Line IT Support Technician at a fairly big oil & gas company. Any tips on what sort things i may be asked and i also what i should ask them would be greatly appreciated.

I also have to complete a short multiple test quiz as part of the interview.

the job spec is fairly brief:


Duties under supervision include:
• Day to day support of desktop software and hardware issues
• Hardware & Software Rollout
• Completing daily/weekly tasks as required.
• Fully document fixes to capture knowledge.
• Appropriate and timely escalation of incidents

Candidates must possess:
• Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Self-driven and able to work by yourself or within a team.
• Proactive approach to working practices and service improvement.
• Be able to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
• Flexible team player
• Good telephone manner
• Client facing skills

Experience of the following would be desirable:
• Knowledge of supporting Windows 2000, Windows XP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Broad knowledge of PCs, laptops and Information Technology.
