Problem Firefox problem

I have just installed Firefox 5.0, now when i go to open a file it's always wanting to download it...I may be having a "blonde day" but i just cant get it to open a program rather than wanting to download it!

I'm sure someone here can help me, cheers in advance.

You mean Run the file in the same way IE does?

 

yes ClassicD, i have looked at my other computer and there a few plug-ins but on the problem laptop there are none, so looks like i need to get the plug ins
