What are you studying ???

 

I haven't quite narrowed down which IT degree I'm going to link the courses towards, in todays workplace it would seem I'd have to mix business in there as well.

 

True, mainly because employers now want IT staff who can relate to the business situation although there will always be a place for the geeks

 

Imagine trying to make a business case for purchasing a load of cool gadgets just because they're "cool"

 

Easy ! If the Company MD is a gadget freak or likes to have something a bit "different" or of "quality" they will usually agree (in my experience )

 

I'll have to set up my own company, so I can justify those gadgets

 

Yeh, I've done that too !

 

So did you have a hard time justifying the toys to yourself?

 

Not really ! Got to have "demo" equipment to show potential customers

 

Good luck Wiz, consider something like business computing (which is what I did). It has a mix of business and computing subjects from project management to systems analysis.
