Mitzs...Mac and Linux have a common UNIX root, so if you are using or plan to use a Mac platform, you'll be closer to using Linux than Windows. :biggrin

I have never spent much time (like none) with a Mac. It is something I would like to have a bash with one day though.

No problem. I see you got the Macbook. That's what I'm using at the moment (The 2.0GHz model, one model before the current one). It runs great. I dual booted with Vista for a while, and managed a Windows Experience Index of 3.5. Not too bad for a laptop. Runs virtual machines well - I run 2 server 2003 machines and an XP client all at the same time, and it works fine.

    Enjoy the Mac.

I've supported Macs before... and I really don't see what all the hype is about. They failed just as often, if not more often, than the Windows-based machines.

...perhaps that's due to the intelligence level of the users who are suckered into paying high prices for them.

    Sorry, couldn't resist. :p

I would not get a MAC desktop but for entertainment purposes I would love to have the mac notebook pc. Too bad they are over priced because for the price that they are selling these laptops I could get a better windows laptop or a desktop pc.

Cant you get the mac osx to run on windows throught VM ware, and will this be like for like or will there be a noticeable difference???

When i say noticeable difference i mean when you put petrol in a diesel etc.
