Hey - just passed the Network + this morning with a score of 840, and I thought I'd let you know my impressions and what to study:

Basically, I had quite a few questions on the following topics:

Hardware Cable Tools were tested (Cable Testers, TDRs, Multimeters, Punch Down Tools) etc.

Know what a 66block/100blocks are and why they are used (I defo got these questions wrong as I didn't even know what they were except something to do with telephones!)

Know about basic Subnetting.

(Fast) Ethernet speeds/medium were tested quite a bit (speeds/cable types/distances). Make sure you know you know the difference between MultiMode and SingleMode and what uses what.

A few questions re: port numbers and characteristics of transfer protocols (TFTP, SCP, SFTP).

Basically, they spread the questions quite wide throughout the whole syllabus but don't go too deep into any particular section.

100 questions with 1h 30 to do it (took me 45 mins).

Anyway, hope that helps. Good luck to anyone doing the exam soon!

You might want to edit that post a bit though. I've not looked through the non-disclosure agreement in too much detail but if you haven't actually trangressed the rules, you're sailing very close to the wind.
