Just took the 70-621 exam and i failed it, couldn't find a 70-621 book to revise so just used the 70-620 and hoped to fill in the blanks with experience, does anyone know a good book to use for the exam?

I'm a little confused by the marks and to what i've actually gotten though.

For my first part, TS: Configuring Windows Vista Client, i passed easily.
For my second part, Pro: Microsoft Desktop Support - Enterprise, i failed.

The final exam requires me to pass both, which i didn't, but will this count as a MCTS or nothing at all?

    Hi Simon.

Sorry to hear that you failed. I wrote quite an in depth guide for this exam when I was studying for it. It can be found here

Unfortunately you don't get MCTS, as the exam counts as a whole.

I truly hope that the guide helps you. The very best of luck for your next attempt!

Qs, why didn't i read that link before taking the exam? :blink

Just ordered the 70-622 book. The 620 bit was easy, the final 22questions on the 622 bit, some were a little

The reason there are no 70-621 books is because the exam consists of questions from 70-620 and 70-622. Therefore, in order to adequately study for the 70-621 exam, you'll need a 70-620 book and a 70-622 book. Since you just ordered the 70-622 book, you should be good to go.

Mate, its a shame you failed, I'm sure that if you read Q's Study Guides, you will pass.

The reason for not seeing it, is that 99% of the pinned posts on Cert Forums are out of date, something which I have mentioned previously on numerous occasions.

Hopefully, we will get that sorted at some point mate and be able to help people like yourself with a little more ease.

Plus requests to pin new useful threads don't get actioned (e.g. your guides)

As Nugget was so kind as to correct an error in my 621 guide, I think he'd be the best bet for pinning such threads.

Fair enough. You know that by passing 70-620 you get the MCTS: Vista cert, right?

The 70-620 is far easier than the 70-622 imo, which is probably why you found the later section of the combi exam more difficult.

The very best of luck with your 622 studies, and congrats on the pass.

I am aware, which is why i wanted to do them seperately just incase i fail the second part again. I didn't find the second part to much of an issue really, apart from the fact that i didn't revise for or study it at all, i still scored 680, so i'm confident :).

Passing score on all Microsoft exams is 700. However, that doesn't necessarily mean 70%... nor does that mean that scores can range from 0-1000 or that each question is worth the same number of points.
