    Hi All,

Just thought I'd share that I failed 70-291 Server 2003 Network Infrastructure today with 609. I'm gutted to be honest. I've used CBT Nuggets and the Exam Cram 2 book and really struggled with RAS and the VPN stuff.

I also need to do more lab work because I felt totally out of my depth with some of the questions today!

What kind of stuff did you guys do to get you through the exam? Did you set up VPN's and RAS etc? I've got my lab set up but don't do enough to simulate problems if that makes sense?

    Thanks
    James

Sorry to hear you didn't make the 70-291 as this is indeed the most tough exam of the MCSA or MCSE. I noticed you didn't mention any other study book such as that of MS or Sybex as one or both would be an added benefit.

Also look out for Preplogic as they do sales on their practice exam packs as this would come handy including the above.

Best wishes and keep plugging away:). I'd be sitting this exam in just a little over a month and would post on how it all went.

Dang, not to far away from a pass as well.

Personally, I think 50% of the battle with MS exams is understanding the question!

Did you book with a second shot?, if so get back on the pony.

Oh here is the lab, I set up for the exam, hope it helps 70-291 Study Guide

Both myself (I did the 2k route then the upgrade exams) & Modey (who did the 2k3 route) used the Learnkey CBT's, the MS books, I can't remember if it was Sybex and/or Examcram book, Technet, Transcender, plus we had a live network to work on and a test network to practice on :)

Good luck for the exam :)

back luck on the fail, I failed it first time too with a score in the 600's it is annoying but then again you know your not far away so just use the print out that they gave you and study the bits you didnt do as well as.

Dunno if its just me or not but I've never got the second shot vouchers to work either, even though I input the code before I took the first exam and then again when I rebooked, it still ask me to pay the 88 quid. Couldnt be bothered to worry about it so I just used the 10% off voucher in the mspress book instead.
