What do you use it for ? Is it just a badge that you pin to your lapel or do you use it for something ?

I think this is the sort that takes a security badge and is connected to your belt by a retracting line. These days the badge readers are fixed rather low (so people in wheelchairs can use them) so I find that a badge worn on a neck-cord won't reach without taking it off.

If I have this right - I'd like to know where to get them as well!

I get mine from facilities at work...

However, they only last about two months before breaking, so if you manage to track one down yourself, make sure you get one with a slightly more durable line...
