    Hey guys,

Im an experienced IT Support guy been doing master of all trades for nearly 11+ years.
Whats the average amount of time people take for this exam ?.

Im going to use cbt nuggets, MOC, and Trancenders and a Lab evironment too.

Any suggestions - i was thinking about 5/7/10 days , keep in mind though i have never done a MS cert before.

    Cheers.

I took the MCSE upgrade exam - the 70-649 and it took me 3 attempts and about a year to pass this exam. I kept on failing on the 70-640 part.

This is the material that I used:

    1. Trainsignal's Intro to Windows 2008 CBT - very good imo.
    2. Introduction to Windows Server 2008 book - good.
    3. Experience with building Windows server 2008, as well as virtual Serer 2008 machines at work for use and home for study - very valuable.
    4. Technet for Windows 2008 - good but boring...
    5. Previous two attempts at exam
    6. Microsoft white paper downloads (there's alot) - good but boring again.
    7. The 3 free e-learning clinics and other free stuff from MS.

Plus also using Windows 2008 since beta 3 in a live environment, so from Jul 2007 when the beta was release until Jul 2008 when I passed.

Question for you... How long have you worked with 2008?

playing with it since MSDN betas, then used it later in prod environement not much though admittedly.
I've also decided to go with firebrand just to be safe.

    Now its going to be:
    MOC kit for MCITP
    CBT Nuggets.
    LAB at home
    Transcenders
    Training Provider boot camp.

I intend to work very hard, very very hard.
