With 14 days before my battle with the creature, and being busy with work and losing the will again I'm looking for nuggets of advice on what I should do to maximise my remaining time.

At the moment I'm going back through parts of the MS press Training book and cross refracting it with the inside out book, re-watching the CBT Nuggets videos (with James Conrad, who either need a better sense of humour or stop trying to be funny in his videos). And hands on work with a virtual network of 2 servers and 2 clients....

Subnetting for me is easy, I'm confident with DHCP and DNS. It just another kick up the arse I need to give myself like with the 290 exa m :(

RRAS was a big one for me.

WSUS I think caught a lot of us out on 291. Read up on it and get it installed in your lab ASAP. MUCH easier to understand once you've used it and read the materials after that

I did the upgrade exams between 2000 and 2003, but also was faced with RRAS questions which made it back then some of the toughest things to get your head around if you were not that well versed with remote connectivity technologies (which these days are abundant and VPN no longer a corporate term).

I think I may have had a question or two about SUS in those exams, but it's been a while since I passed those 2000-2003 upgrade exams in early 2004 :\

Looks like you're getting old Shinigami ;)

Wsus is part of security and network infrastructure on the 291 exam, and I'm happy with my understanding with the setting up a server or a centralisation of updates, administration of approved updates and the two group policy setting for the client to use WSUS and which server to get the information and updates. (I had a great teacher 1st time around for this exam).

I think RRAS may be my key weakness, thanks for pointers and good luck with the 290 exam j1mgg

2nd go around the computer froze 4 times before a spare one was found then failed... MCSA 2003 is an impossibility now :(

My local test centre does next day testing, and although I haven't done it, I believe same day testing for some exams.

I'm sure, but I was thinking more that it's doubtful whether there would now be free seats available on a day when many MS exams are being retired.
