Problem Epson Wireless printer

Hi folks,

My brother bought an Epson Wireless Printer over the festive period (sorry cant remember exact model), anyway...he tried to link it to his network and was somewhat succesful, the problem is that when you print a word document it prints fine but soon as you try to print anything with a picture in it, it wont print and knocks his laptop (windows 7) of the network and the print stops.

He phoned epson and they couldnt fix the problem, they said the printer could be faulty and they sent a new one but that is doing the same...im totaly stumped!! probably something simple but i cant for the life of me think what.

So i thought i would ask the guys and gals here if they may have a solution, thanks in advance of any help given

 

Does it have a wired Ethernet port? If it does, you could try it over the wired LAN and try to reproduce.

 

Very good question, I seem to be making excuses here but i didnt really get alot of time on it and perhaps that should have been one of the 1st things i checked.

Hmm, how about the USB port?

 

Yep it has one of those, the thing thats getting me is that it wont print a picture, anything else is fine

 

Are you trying to print the photo using the Win7 built in software?

If so, have you tried printing the photo using different software, such as Picasa etc?

The picture was in a word document, so tried printing it from word, then tried printing it from the epson software and both results were the same (not printing)...so havent used any other software as of yet

 

Have you tried just the one picture or different ones?

Have you tried it on the USB cable instead of wireless?

Yes i tried different pics, same outcome.

He didnt get a cable with it (so he said) so havent tried that.
