Quite simply the worst football team in the world, great individual players, crap team involvement.

Sack the lot of them (including Capello) and start from scratch because the current crop really don't deserve to be wearing the colours.

 

I was really suprised to see England lose like that, I personally like the team alot but man they did not perform at all today!

had LESS goals than the USA
and couldnt even beat the USA

Agreed. I have always said this is why England loose in the big competitions. If your getting £140k a week plus a world cup pay out which I think is something like £50k (might even be £50k a game) wether you do your job well or do it badly are you gonna give a ****? ofcourse your not.

Bring in performance pay and bring in video technology.

What happened?

 

Well when England just about manages to keep it a draw with Algeria, which more than half of their players are amateurs, this goes to show the difference between playing for loving your shirt and loving your bank account.

I am not a football fan at all, I have always hated it even though I liked playing it when I was at college. But it is for things like the goal that England should have got and it was taken away that drive me mad. I believe that this kicked the player’s moral back and it was just downhill thereafter.

IMHO, no football player deservers the millions of pounds they earn.

 

Forget england, my old man is now flying his giant Italian flag (we still don't know where he got it from) in his back garden at half mast. Here football is just a game, in Italy it is a religion. Still, gives me something to wind him up with.

 

At least Spain are still in it.

That said, the England performance was pitiful. From now on, get an English manager (or at least a non-English one that doesn't need a translator), ban the WAG media bullsh*t, cap player wages GLOBALLY and for the love of God enough with the gawdy OK! magazine photoshoots.

Disappointing as yesterday was, it is nothing to do with money.

Last final was between France and Italy, who both went out first round, and the bulk of both squads is exactly the same. Those guys havent got poorer in the last 4 years.

England are not as good as we like to think we are and until we have more english players in the prem to give the manager more depth to choose from we will never show a dramatic improvement. Players like Heskey and Lampard wont be at another world cup, and possibly wont be at the next Euro, so wholesale changes are coming whether we like it or not.

 

Support the England women's team, they are a whole ****e load better. Women's football is the future my friends, less money, better players.

 

The back line just didn't seem to gel yesterday, was a terrible performance from all. No pride, no passion for the country! Ah well, that's what being an England supporter is all about, heartache!

You did well to get to the last 16, should be happy with that. As a team they have never shown to be capable of winning it, so why the surprise when they get beat by Germany, i do not understand.
