Hi everyone hope ive posted this in the right place, if not i appologise. I can't get my browser to open ebay, it just says its waiting for the page then displays 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. I have tried using a different browser with the same results and used various spyware programs to check for viruses etc but my comp is ok. I can open every other site ok just not ebay. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried nslookup ? Are you sure your DNS cache on your client OS or router is ok ? Try flushing both caches, reboot computer and router if necessary. Are you sure your ISP's DNS cache is ok ? My ISP seemed to screw up their DNS servers once a month, they normally fix in about an hour though.

Have you tried turning off friendly errors in browser and getting the real error code ?

Press the Start button (if you are on Windows XP) and then type 'cmd' in the run line. Press enter.

In the black box that appears type ping www.ebay.co.uk

    What response do you get?

Cool, looks like it might be DNS issue. Are you able to set the DNS on your network card to 8.8.8.8?
