I thought we would all be driving round in hover cars before Duke Nukem Forever saw the light of day. I still expect I'll take delivery of my Toyota HoverHybrid (tm) before DNF. :)

10 years ago I was hyped about this game, now I just feel it will never live up to expectations. Also will people actually be excited about it? although imagine the publicity that will be generated by its release.

Would I buy it, without a second thought

It's so sad because a lot of gamer kids missed the whole Duke Nukem scene. So when/if Forever comes out, the old school gamers will be excited for it even on nostalgia alone while newer gamers would not get the same excitement. I just don't want to see it come out and then go down in flames. That'd be a bummer.
