I currently have a 9650-8LP and wanted to add another 9650-4LP, would I be able to create 1 big array across all of the disks that the cards have attached? In the manual it said "Multiple card support (up to 4) within a system for large storage requirements" so I’m hoping the answer is yes, my 9550SXU is the same but the 9650 and 9550 can’t see each other’s disks unless I'm missing something.

Yeah I haven't seen it before, its certainly not something I have seen with the HP\Dell controllers I have played with.

I think the only chance you could have of doing this would be to use the hardware raid and then software raid both lots of drives together afterwards.

Thanks for the reply Simon, I'll give the HW/SW combo a bash and see how I get on.
