I don't suppose anyone's created graphics for publication around here...have you? I just came across a situation where I'd like to draw some datagrams to illustrate their structure. They have to be of good quality since they'll enter a published work but they don't have to be fancy. Just B&W "boxes" so to speak, with a bit of text to describe the structure. I can use paint of course, but I like exploring my options. It would have to be pretty darn cheap and of course, freeware is better. I can live with a demo that will last me about 30 to 60 days. Ideas folks? Thanks.

    Trip,

I've always liked Paint Shop Pro, full featured but easy to use. Take a look here for the trial version, it isn't crippled for 30 days.

Thanks, Phil. I have to wait for an e-mail tomorrow to see what is and isn't acceptable. I can suggest this option and see if it meets their needs.
