Hey guys, I am just about to purchase 2 domains (well I was, but right now in the UK the VISA system is completely broke haha, so I have to wait hours)

Does anyone have any solid registars from personal experience ?

and a web host to, it is for a blog type thing so doesn't need to be bells and whistles

Always used 123-reg.co.uk myself (now a part of Pipex).

They offer hosting too but I use my own VPS

I know some people have had horror stories from them, but I was pretty green on domain purchasing and hosting, and use 1 and 1 for both.

Transferring domain ownership when I sold a domain turned out to be a bit of a headache, but apart from that, all a-okay.

PM me for sites I have hosted on them if you want to see examples :)

I got a hosting and domain package all in one with Godaddy. Been very pleased with them so far, even though I have made very little use of the package...until now!

AVOID: 1&1. Worst company EVER. FACT.

OT: I relaunched my blog with a new design and everything!
