Not sure if this has been mentioned before :

I got a letter the other day from "Domain Registry Of America" that looked very much like a bill claiming that my domain name was about to run out and needed renewing. On further inspection its not a bill as such, just an offer to register my domain with them for a cheaper price, but either way the wording is rather dodgy and could quite easily catch someone out

Ok granted I'd imagine majority of people on this forum would see it for what it was (in my eyes its a scam)
but eitherway thought I'd give a heads up !

Been around for yonks. I get about ten of them a year. Some people must still fall for it though, or they wouldn't bother sending them out

    I get loads of them.
Not sure if it's a 'scam' of if it's just an alternative way of paying for your domains.

My rule of thumb is, if you are already paying for something, don't pay for it twice...

We get them mostly from china saying that other companies are wanting to register with our name but with the .cn ending. Of course we could prevent that by registering the names with them.
