I am revising for networking exams for uni. A revision question for me to do at home as practise is Discuss what parameters could affect network performance. (Without vendor specific) So I couldnt say like replication.

I have thought of a few which could affect the quality of performance:

    1) Delay
    2) Delay variation (jitter)
    3) Data loss
    4) Bandwidth
    5) Quality of equipment (e.g. Switches)
    6) Speed of network?
    7) Compression
    8) Latency
    9) Encryption
    10) Retransmission (of packets whcih are lost and retransmitted)

Anyway what do you think peeps?
