Anyone here using one of these? Ive got a music one (MP101)connected to my amp upstairs. Im thinking of getting a media one for downstairs so i can connect it to the TV and amp down there. Can anyone recommend a good one? Im not bothered about wireless, as ive already got cabling going downstairs. Cheers.

is it like one of those you can get for your car radio, tune it into the frequency of your MP3 player?

 

No mate, it connects to your pc either thru ethernet or wireless, it then allows you to stream music, vids etc to your tv. I was thinking of getting either the netgear EVA700, or EVA8000, they both look good, there are plenty reviews if ya wanna look.

 

Aah now I get it. So I take it you have an intel viiv based PC?

 

Dont think you have got it lol Ive got AMD pcs. These basically work by being connected to your network and streaming the data.

 

I have, I noticed afterwards that you only need intels for the specially generated content.

Na, i only paid for it on Monday night.

 

Received this today. Took about 10 mins to setup and its running spot on now. Great bit of kit, can watch anything i like on TV downstairs now.

 

So now you'll be able to watch your porn collection downstairs
