Hi planning to take the 2 exams probably November ish time after i've been to a few courses.

However looking at the course titles they are very similar !

    Taking the following courses:

    • Windows 2003 Server Administration
    • Windows 2000/2003 Networking
    • Active Directory Design & Implementation

How do the exams differ and will the courses i've been on be ok, obviously aswell as studying from the textbooks.

    Thanks

The 290 and 291 are very different exams. To be honest there isn't a great deal of common ground between the two of them really. I certain'y didn't find that to be the case anyway.

I agree. The 270 and 290 are similar; 270 focuses on managing XP, 290 on 2003.

The 291 covers networking in some detail including dns, wins, subnetting, remote access along with all the protocols and services that make them tick.

291 and 293 have much more in common than 290 and 291.
