    Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone has come across this error: 0x80244010

We get this error when we try to deploy Windows updates (software updates) via a task sequence in SCCM 2012r2 (see attached) when building a new machine.

However on a live machine (one that isn't being built) it works fine via Software Center.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated [IMG]

    Hey Ken,

If you can get the extract of smsts.log on that machine - you'll probably get the specific error on what went wrong.

Assuming Windows is already installed at that point as it's installing SW updates. if you hit F8 on the window, you can copy it via cmd prompt from there, or alternatively if you can boot the machine, pick up the smsts.log and smsts(timestamp).log if there - C:\windows\ccm\logs\ - may be in a smstslog folder inside of that directory.
