The most lovely exp I have ever had dealing with tech support or any support for that fact! I was really expecting to talk to someone that I could not understand and well most of you know the rest of the story. Instead I ended up with someone in texas that made the process most painless and even had me laughing! My AC adapter died on my new laptop lastnight and I should have its replacement by tommrow! :) Now you can not get better service then that. Dell ROCKS!

I think some of these companies are finally realising customer service is the way to keep the customers you already have and the best way, through word of mouth, to get more.

Well he made me very happy and I told him that I was going to back to my tech site and pass the word on thier services and I could tell that he appricated that too. So a win win today and I will be happy to have my lappy running again.

    Get real Mitzs.

You just threatened to duct tape New Delhi, and they transferred you to the highest manager in the nearest call centre they could find :biggrin

In all honesty though, nice to hear some good service starting to come out of corporate helpdesks. Long may it continue!

Dells tech support has improved big time over the past year or so. I have made a couple or warranty calls for failed tape drives recently and the guy on the phone was very knowledgeable. I told the guy that I had tried virtually everything to get the tape drive(s) sorted and he agreed and sent out a replacement unit the same day! :ohmy

Gotta keep your backups going ya know! :biggrin

Dell are inconsistant with me, sometimes they replace parts really quickly but other times they ignore me for weeks. 5 parts a day replaced maximum sucks big hairy donkey balls when you have 50 dead sticks of ram !!!!!1111

Lol, it's funny that IT have put notices up in every department at work showing new procedures. The only thing is the way it's worded sounds like they are blaming everywhere apart from themselves.

Non of that stuff would be going on if they had kept me on :)

I used to work for dell technical support, I have to say the support dell offers is top notch. Was a pretty satisfying job.

Well it still isn't it here yet and they told me I would have it yesterday. It is 12:30 pm now. If it is not here by 3 I will be making another call to see if they can track it.
