Never laughed so hard since the time my friend nearly jumped into the croc infested mangrove when the guide dropped a caiman in our canoe :D

THe D90 is a cracking camera, what lense did you go with. I use a D5000 at the minute with a 18-200mm DX with VRII lense. The range of the lense is great for nearly every situation, much better than the kit 18-55mm lense.

Try Adobe Lightroom for your post production work, its really easy to use and so much easier than Photoshop.

I went with the 18-105 kit lens. It's pretty decent as a starter lens to be honest, and I can expand later on.

I have Elements 9 at the moment, but the Adobe Camera Raw processor is lacking a bucketload of features. Downloaded Lightroom last night, and it seems to have all the relevant features (I like the ability to "snapshot" an image too, so you could have multiple versions of the RAW on a single file).

The only issue is cost. Lightroom is 200 quid - a big stretch after my purchase of the camera. If I can wangle a way to get it on an educational license (a stretch to be honest), it would be much better.

First picture is a definite winner for me.
I love the clearness of the water and good cameras always catch great detail of the "eyes".
