Well I know its meant to be 3 days but hey!

Started today. Team are a good bunch, there are 3 of us, network manager and other tech who both own me in knowledge wise. No longer the only guy everybody comes for advise/support which is kinda weird and liberating :)

Biggest network/user amount I have supported. I think there were about 1400 or so users on AD I saw and 800 machines/laptops (i think) + I think was about 60 printers.

Was a fairly quiet day today which I was surprised about, sure it will pick up soon, as I don't want to twiddle by thumbs in new job! Ona get stuck in. As Ive worked in schools albeit smaller It wasn't a big shock to the system + I am aware some days are quieter than others so - no jobs to do or don't know what you should be doing - learn productive things :P .

    Anyway so far so good.

Mmm so day 3. Was busier. Manager was out all day. Had various calls regarding toner changes, creating MSI, investigating old issues, carrying out pc's/monitors about, trying to fix toners by cannibalizing other parts due to snapped off parts - reminder to self force for OEM !! Had a few usual calls about errors printing and kids not being able to do various things.

Learnt a bit about smoothwall (filtering), more about batch files and pushing out software upgrades/deletions as well as more about our virtual reality room.

So yeh its all going good so far. Still tho I hope for it to get busier and learn more. Good shelf life I hope with this job :p
