Creating Users on AD

Just a quick question.

Is the process of creating a new user on an Active Directory the same as how you would create one if you were creating one a stand alone pc?

I guess. I haven't created any users on a standalone pc in awhile, but in AD you just go rightclick > new > user and fill in the blanks.
Naturally you do this in a different console than on a standalone.
And of course there are a few more options...
