All you wonderful Cert Forums members, would you mind casting your eye over my CV please.

I do not plan on changing jobs (due to the time I have been in IT), however I feel it is essential to keep your CV upto date.

Any ideas and feedback would be appreciated :D

    Excellent m8 !

I would change advisor to adviser (generally used especially in financial services).

When you were a Project Manager it might be worth noting if you used any project management tools or procedures such as PRINCE2 or MS Project etc.

    Other than that, excellent.

Looks like we have similar background too :biggrin

Cool, another person from University of Northampton/UCN :)

Good & clean CV. The only thing that I would change is to trim it down to 2 pages, but that's just my opinion :)

BTW, the pdf has your address on it (in Adobe's title bar, not in the actual document itself), don't know if you want to change that.

Thanks for the feedback Ken, I'll give it a whirl to chop it down to two pages.

I know about the address thing, didnt realise until I had posted it here. Unfortunetly, it cannot be removed :(

Thanks UKDarkstar, I have always got confused between Advisor and Adviser, I have amended that and also put in the title of second line support that I do onsite work as well.

Unfortunetly, when I was doing Project Management, we didn't use anyones framework apart from our own :(

Do you think this CV would get me a System Admin job in around 6 months to a 1 years time?

As the only thing which will probably change will be some more qualifications and maybe some project work e.g. roll out of 3G Wireless Broadband whilst in my current job.

    Again, thanks for your feedback.

Err, didn't spot the changes on this second one ????

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't gte a Sys Admin job even now. It would depend on the job spec and then you would highlight what you've done c.f. the spec.

If you were looking for a large enterprise type role then maybe you'd need more experience, again, depends on what the role spec says.

    Nice clean lines :)

No seriously, good job on there. I have my normal armament of punctuation, grammar and tense grumbles, but I can't redline PDFs so you guarded well against that one  lol

I like the format - easy to read, clear structure. I may be rejigging my own following reading that. Good job :thumbleft

Arroryn, punctuation and grammar has never been one of my strongpoints, if you have the time to amend this Word version it would be really appreciated :D
