    Afternoon people,

Im having a bit of a dabble setting up a network on my computer, but im having a few problems sharing drives between computers. Ive got them both using the same username and password, both firewalls are off. I can access files from one comp, but not the other. Also when i do the \\compname\c$ command it asks for a password. Any ideas where im going wrong? Cheers

Forgot to add that both machines are running MCE, could it be that?

edit: ignore that! totally mis-read the question!

    \\compname\c$ <- access hidden c drive share. where $ = hidden

have you turned off simply file sharing.

Also getting another error that says the usual permisions stuff. But at the end it says "not enough server storage is available to process this command"

The rest of the message is identical to the message you got, in your embarassed post mate. Just the usual contact your administrator stuff.

    CAUSE
This behavior can occur in the following operating systems:
    • Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3) or earlier
    • Windows NT Terminal Server 4.0 without Service Pack 4 (SP4)
NOTE: This problem can also occur with service packs after SP3 on Windows NT 4.0 if you install certain software such as Norton AntiVirus software.

I read that - I thought it wasnot relevant to MCE, thats why i did not post it re-originally
