Problem Connect dell 6224 to cisco catalyst (not sure of the version but is a 1 gig switch).

Hi Guys

Trying to connect a dell as described to a cisco core switch, I have made a trunk port on both the Dell and the Cisco and allowed two vlans to trunk over. Unfortunately I can get no response from the dell and no communication between the 2 switches, any imput would be greatfully received as networking isn't really my bag .
