    Hi everyne,

I have learned to build and repair computers and networks by self-study and I really enjoy it very much. I now would like to gain a qualification to work in IT
I am trying to study for a MCSE 2003, I would like to know if anybody has heard of Joskos as a training provider and how good they are, they are offering a job guarantee or you money back or would it be better if I self-study using some books and if you know which are the best ones for the 70-270 exam.

Or should I start with the A+ and N+ as I already have the practical part and is what I really enjoy.
Would I get a job if I pass some exams without going to a training provider?. i am a bit confused

    Thanks for your help

i've heard of them, as they are my training provider.

with hindsight i'd have preferred to go down the self study route, as that's basically what i am doing anyway...except that i'm paying a crapload to some company while i'm at it.

having said that, if you really want to go with a training provider, i believe joskos gives you the most 'bang for your buck'.
just keep in mind that what they (and probably anyone) teach you is not enough to pass the exams, you will have to do a good bit of self study.

and i cannot vouch for the 'job guarantee' as i'm not at that point yet.

Hi Milton, welcome to CF. :)

Can't comment on Joskos, but they have been mentioned here before - use our search facility to find out more. With regards to A+ / N+. I can guarantee you will get a pretty much resounding "yes" from the Guys (and me) on this. The fundamentals gained from these two certs will stand you in good stead throughout, although to be realistic, are unlikely to get you more than a helpdesk or junior tech role to start with. But it's the start you're looking for, right ?

    HTH :)

Thanks for the advise, very much appreciated. I think I will give a try to self study before considering Joskos, would you recommend a good book?
