    1) Please don't SHOUT ! Turn your Caps Lock off

    2) You could at least do us the courtesy of answering previous threads and letting us know if we've been able to help you

    3) Have you tried getting into Safe Mode ? Sounds like you need to cancel an MS update but it's difficult to tell from the info provided

I agree with darkstar here, you need to provide as much information as possible when enquiring about your pc problems.

As for the screen not getting onto the desktop, well that would be down to the hibernation feature which i had a problem with recently and had to reinstall certain drivers etc, but that was on a laptop and because i diidnt shut down properly. Another trick ive used in the past is go into safe mode and uninstall the monitor, as when it boots up again it will reinstall the drivers and then your desktop shoud come back on.

This was another pr4oblem for me and i also noticed that there were duplicate drivers for some reason, i took one out and its been working great since.

Keep us informed ion tyhis matter please ..

    Other things to try:

    1. A Vista repair from the Vista DVD (you'll have to boot from the DVD) and/or
    2. A system restore from the Vista version of ERD Commander (please be aware there are specific versions of ERDC for Vista 32bit & 64bit editions, the Windows XP version of ERDC will not work with Vista either).

I would try number 2 first though.

    Hope this helps :)
