    Hi all

I fancy studying for something a bit different and this cert from CompTIA looks really interesting. Have any of you studied for it? Do you have any thoughts on the subject?

I’ve not sat a CompTIA exam for years but enjoyed the Security+. Their portfolio of certifications has really advanced in recent years. It’s great to see them doing so well

    Here’s a link to the PenTest+

I sat the beta for it once and failed! I thought it was tough (which would explain why I did not pass) it has a few simulation questions which I personally think are harder then just multi choice. However, with a bit of study I would say it is a good one to sit.

Also check out the CEH cert if this type of thing is of interest to you.

Cheers Rob. I’ve toyed with the idea of the CEH for years. Not really for work just for me as a nerd. I’ve had a play with Backtrack and Kali Linux over the years. A dabble. I might learn this sort of thing for fun. And Python. Seeing some of my mates do cool things with Python

Was thinking about this cert a little while ago, especially since work is invested in keeping it's Cyber Security Essentials accreditation with a view to move up to the Plus Accreditation. Let us know how you get on with it, if you do decide to go for it. Work is sponsoring me to do the CEH, so I'm doing that one...
