Comptia, MS's new propoganda arm

    Comptia released the following idiotic press release on South Africa's decision to use ODF as its format of choice for all government documents. The dumbest thing Comptia said is that choosing a completely open standard hurts competition. Say what? That has to be stupidest statement I've ever seen. An open, documented format, which contains no binary blobs which must be reverse engineered, that any company in the world can fully implement is anti-competitive? What total and complete BS.

    Gotta agree freddy the language used in that press release is pathetic
    I mean is he confused? or just a total moron? lol
    and since when has the corporate world been able to self standardise ffs!

    I just couldn't believe that press release when I read it. Comptia has always posed themselves at being vendor-neutral, well, it's now very obvious that they are not. What they are basically saying is that if MS chooses not support ODF that South Africa is hurting competition. What a raft of crap.

    I once had respect for Comptia as an organization. No more....
