i am not able to use some commands on tracer packet . i dont know how to enable it. i use 5.3.2 version

here u are some examples:


SW1(config)#ip domain-name cisco.com
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.


SW1(config)#crypto key generate rsa 1024
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.



can somebody explain what is problem actually??


i cant use command 'alias' too

Packet tracer is essentially only an emulator of relevant hardware, so you will find that not every single Cisco command will work, and you may also find that some commands only work with certain hardware etc.

If you want to guarantee all commands work then you would be better off getting real hardware to work with in a lab.
