    Hi everyone,

Im thinking about configuring a Cisco Access server as I have 2 switches and 3 routers in my lab, but from the documentation which I have read they state i require an octal cable. I have looked around on the internet for octal cables and they are around £130!!!! Is there a cheaper solution?:ohmy

Sadly the octal cables are expensive. You could try making your own, but the cost of parts, time and effort are high even if you try a homemade octal cable.

Pinouts are here if you try to make your own:
