I recently ordered printed copies of all my new certifications that I took (infact I ordered a total of 11 paper copies, some to replace old ones etc).

Anyway the first lot arrived in the mail today and I got the shock of my life to discover that I actually got Charter Status for my MCITP:EA :o

I don't know what qualified me for it because my EDA certification didn't get Charter Member.

    Q. What is a Charter certificate?

    A.
Charter Members are the pioneering group of individuals who achieve a certification within six months following the retail release date of the certification. (People who pass the beta exams automatically receive the Charter certificate.) Charter Members are recognized by receiving the Charter version of the certificate acknowledging their early adoption of the certification. The Charter version of the certificate has the word "Charter" imprinted across the top. If you have any of the following certifications, you are eligible for the Charter certificate: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD).
