So...

Got my annual "it's damn hot so let's buzz the hair down" haircut yesteday. It's a very short cut. Problem is, that in between this year and last year, the hair at the front of my head thinned. Noticeably. So much so that it looks like the hairdo that Spike used to sport in the Transcender ads circa 2000.

That fact that I wear horn rimmed glasses does not help.

Nor does having shaved my moustache and beard.

I look a helluva lot like Spike now. So much so that there's only one thing left to do.

Order one of these.

I didn't know Spike was a pipe smoker. He seemed to be a pretty good guy. I talked with him once and he used to frequently post on a forum I no longer visit. As I recall, he was a former Drill Sgt, which I don't think fits your personality, Sean. Nevertheless, you could do worse.

BTW, welcome to middle age.

 

Spike is the best! I miss that mug of his. Mary and I went to lunch with him when we were in Nashville several years ago. He reminded me of a big old grizzly bear with a very sweet side. He kill me if he ever saw that. You'll have to send me a picture Hill when you get the pipe. Spike would be proud!

 

Mitzs is right, Spike was the best! It killed me when Transcender got rid of him in favor of the plastic people models who also modeled dating websites...

I sent him some chocolate cigars once! He shared them with the others in the office. I really miss Spike, he was one of us.

 

It also killed him when they removed him from his job doing customer service/sales stuff. He disappeared from the forums that very day, never to be seen again. Mitzs called Transcender and they transferred her to me... and that's how I ended up on the forums.

That said... I hear he's still kicking around... perhaps the ghost of Spike will appear again. ;)

 

I can do the drill sergeant thing, but it only ever happens when I'm photographing a wedding and the bride is a narcissistic beyotch.

Yeah, spike was my buddy. I used to call him when I find illegal sellers of TS or just to shoot the bull. He is a very funny man. I miss him.

 

Oh yeah, go stand beside the guy that has a permanent bullseye on his head. Smart dude really smart.

 

Ha! You should see him in admin mode behind the curtain when you make his blood pressure blow. He has sent me running for cover more then once, but then I was the reason for his blood pressure zooming up anyway. Never really understood how that could be possable with my sweet dispostion.

I was thinking more along the lines of

 

I know that is why I like to take pot shots at ya. It is very interesting to watch you walking along and then all of a sudden hop up a little and go "Oh that tingles!"
