And long may it continue... Certguard plays a central role in educating people which sites (and as a consequence BDs) to avoid.

    Power to you Certguard! 8)

Thanks for the comment Gary. :duel Maybe some of the other comments here will clue you in as to just who it is I'm actually promoting.

    Best of luck to you!

P.S. A BIG thanks :clap to everyone else here for helping prevent the use of BDs! You guys :rocks

Various members here at CF frequently mention CertGuard and we frequently use their services to determine if a certification resource is legit or not. I don't really think they *need* to come here to promote themselves. I know we are sometimes a little "gun shy" because we are spammed frequently by certification/braindump related sites, but in this case, I think the site being promoted is us.

CF and CertGuard have similar goals so I don't think it's inappropriate for us to promote each other.

Doesn't that then invite all legitimate training providers to openly advertise on here too then?

    Both have the same aims.

Just thought it was a bit of in your face bare faced cheek advertising (no matter what the subject). I can do a search on here (or many other sites and obviously google) if I want to find out whether a site is a braindump site or not but each to their own

    No probs :dry

Cut CertGuard some slack. There is only one site like his that lets people see what training resources are good and which are braindumps. While there are lots of forums based on IT and getting certified, there is only one site that takes the time to investigate the materials and help provided by all the others and make that research available to all. For those who care about earning their certs properly, the way the vendor’s intended, sites like CertGuard help folks make an informed decision on what companies training materials to buy with their hard earned cash.

I think the work done in this area by you guys right here at CertForums is equally valuable, one site compliments the other very well. I for one am proud to be a part of CertForums, and to say I earned my certs the right way thanks to the guidance of sites like this.

What if there were braindumps for people looking to become a medical doctor (there might be, but I really hope not). What if the latest intake of new doctors at your local hospital passed their exams by using braindumps. Someone in your family is taken ill one day and rushed in to hospital, do you want a guy who passes his exams by memorizing a list of questions and answers to treat them, or a real doctor, who spent time learning his craft, understanding the things he was reading, aiming to excel in his chosen career.

We all know braindumps are bad, we need to help each other out to get the message across to those who don’t have the same level of knowledge of the IT industry. A little bit of promotion of each other's sites is all good in my book.
